Job Description:

We are looking for an exceptional individual to become part of our International Product Management Team. This broad role encompasses all aspects of internationalization and translation of the NetSuite product offerings, including defining future product enhancements for the multi-language capabilities of the product.

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong understanding of internationalization and application translation. General knowledge of business management applications and Software-as-a-Service development and release processes is a huge plus.

An ideal candidate will have experience as a product manager in a company that develops mid-range or growing business accounting solutions; however, if you have experience in the translation and localization industry and are looking for a exciting position with a business application vendor, this may also be the job for you.

Responsibilities:

• Manage translation projects for all languages with external vendor(s), 3rd party reviewer and NetSuite resources to meet quality and schedule expectations
• Work with Engineering to define, implement and execute a reliable, efficient and repeatable translation process.
• Identify and build relationships with external translation and localization vendors
• Drive the research, selection and deployment of Content and Globalization Management System(s) and related processes across the entire organization to achieve efficient, consistent and cost-effective translation of NetSuite materials
• Work with the Engineering team to define and extend NetSuite's translation architecture
• Proactively conceive, define and drive the creation of multi-language and related features
• Advise on and manage generic internationalization requirements for the NetSuite product, e.g. Time Zone, Date Formats, Character Encoding, Currency Formatting, etc.
• Work with development, QA, documentation and other product managers to define the scope of each feature and to confirm that other features are International-friendly in the first instance
• Write product specification documents to be used by development, QA & technical writing
• Manage overall product releases with the goal of successful and timely deliveries
• Collect, analyze, maintain and distribute information about competing products
• Provide product information to meet a variety of internal and external needs including sales collateral, press releases, web site copy and internal training
• Conduct customer research, competitive and market analyses
• Ensure that solutions meet user and business requirements

Qualifications/Skills:

• Detailed knowledge of translation, globalization and localization processes and requirements
• Superior analytical, writing, verbal and time management skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work in a very fast paced environment
• Ability to analyze problems and create solutions
• Ability to make recommendations and decisions independently
• Strong leadership and influencing skills
• A solid understanding of the product development lifecycle and processes
• previous localization experience a necessity
• experience with SDLX/Trados/CAT tools
• experience with Framemaker
• fluency in a second language preferable
• technical knowledge of the workings of User interface, webware, help file compilations, etc and the challenges they pose for Localization
• strong multi-tasking abilities
• understanding of potential localization issues when dealing with multiple languages

Experience:
5 years of related experience, as described above.
