NetLedger Enters UK Small/Mid-Tier Business Market through Exclusive Partnership with New BT-Backed Software Solutions Provider

Partnership with Open Orchard to Provide First and Only Integrated On-line Business Application for Small and Medium Enterprises in the UK

LONDON, October 31, 2002 - NetLedger, a leading provider of application software, has joined forces with Open Orchard, a new BT-backed UK software solutions provider for small to mid-tier businesses, in an exclusive partnership to bring NetLedger's widely-used online business management services to the UK market.

These new services include NetSuite, an easy-to-use business application which manages key business processes including financials, customer relationship management, purchasing and e-commerce. The partnership also brings NetCRM to the UK market. NetCRM is a customer relationship management (CRM) service, integrating complete sales force automation, marketing management and customer support functionality in a single on-line offering. The new services will be available to UK businesses from January 2003.

Today's announcement combines the distribution strength of Open Orchard with NetLedger's award-winning applications services. Open Orchard is a BT-backed venture chartered to deliver business services and applications to small and mid-sized companies. With more than 5700 customers, NetLedger is the leading provider of on-line business applications to small and medium enterprises. In addition to NetSuite and NetCRM, NetLedger's products also include the Oracle® Small Business Suite.

There are approximately 3.7M businesses in the UK1 and the majority of these still buy separate, expensive software packages to run and manage their business. Historically, the cost associated with running and integrating data from these incompatible systems is high. Because of this separacy, the software infrastructure utilized by many companies does not allow business processes to run seamlessly across front and back office functions.

To address this, Open Orchard and NetLedger have joined forces to bring the NetCRM and NetSuite products to the UK market. These products are aimed at giving businesses a totally integrated set of processes that allows them to focus on improving customer satisfaction, reaching new markets, and improving business efficiency.
