NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N) is a public software company. The company was founded in October 1998 by Evan Goldberg and Larry Ellison — and was initially known as NetLedger, Inc.
Evan Goldberg, Founder,
Chief Technology Officer and Chairman of the Board
Mr. Goldberg spent eight years at Oracle Corporation,
where he served as a vice president. He was involved
in a variety of projects, all focused on making powerful
database technology more accessible to users. When he
left Oracle, he started mBED Software and built groundbreaking
Web site technology. He founded NetSuite in 1998. Mr.
Goldberg holds a B.A. Summa Cum Laude in Applied Mathematics
from Harvard University.
Zach Nelson, President and
Chief Executive Officer
Zach Nelson has more than 20 years of leadership
experience in the hi-tech industry, where he has
held a variety of executive positions spanning
marketing, sales, product development and business
strategy with leading companies such as Oracle,
Sun Microsystems, and McAfee/Network Associates.
Nelson has been CEO of NetSuite since 2002. Under
his leadership NetSuite's revenues have grown
ten-fold, workforce has quintupled to more than
500 employees, and its customer base has expanded
to thousands of companies around the globe. Recently
named as CRM Influential Leader of 2006 by CRM
Magazine, Nelson has led NetSuite to be one of
the hottest software companies in the world. Nelson
holds a patent in the field of application integration,
and has several others pending approval. He holds
B.S. and M.A. degrees from Stanford University.
Jim McGeever, Chief Financial
Officer
Mr. McGeever has more than 15 years of finance and accounting
experience in the high-tech industry. Leveraging his
experience in working with companies through successful
IPOs, he spearheads the initiatives in finance and accounting
as CFO for NetSuite. Before joining NetSuite, he was
the controller of Clontech Laboratories, Inc., a privately
held biotechnology company that was acquired by Becton
Dickinson. He was also the corporate controller at Photon
Dynamics, Inc., a capital equipment maker. While at
Photon Dynamics, he helped the company through a successful
IPO in 1994. He is a qualified chartered accountant
and previously worked at Ernst & Young. He has a
B.Sc. from the London School of Economics.
Dave Lipscomb, Senior Vice President, Engineering and Operations
Dave Lipscomb drives engineering, product management, and IT operations for NetSuite. He has been at the company since its first inception in 1998. Under his leadership, NetSuite enables thousands of customers worldwide to manage their business in real-time, and the NetSuite service has achieved unprecedented uptime and reliability in the on-demand industry.
Prior to joining NetSuite, Mr. Lipscomb founded mBED Software with Evan Goldberg. He was also a director in Oracle's New Media Division. Mr. Lipscomb has been building client/server and Web server software products for eighteen years. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
Dean Mansfield, President, Worldwide Sales and Distribution
As a highly regarded tech industry veteran, Mr. Mansfield brings a wealth of leadership and executive management experience in sales and business development. Leading NetSuite's sales operations and business development efforts in the U.S., EMEA and Asia Pacific, Mr. Mansfield is charged with driving the company's winning strategy for on-demand software sales, strategic partnerships, customer success and growing the customer base globally.
Prior to joining NetSuite, Mr. Mansfield held senior management positions with Brocade Communications Inc., where he was responsible for the sales organization's international region. At Plumtree Software Inc., he was vice president of Asia Pacific and Japan, and led the product entry into the Asian markets.
Previously, Mr. Mansfield held several executive positions at Network Associates, ultimately leading all non-U.S. operations as vice president of International Sales & Operations.
Mr. Mansfield holds an honours degree in Law from the University of London.
Tim Dilley, Executive Vice President, Professional Services
Tim Dilley brings more than 26 years of experience in enterprise consulting, and executive management leadership in professional services and customer support. In his role as executive vice president of Services for NetSuite, Dilley is charged with overseeing its global initiatives in professional services, training and customer support and customer service.
Prior to NetSuite, Dilley served as senior vice president of Global Customer Services at Informatica Corporation, a $300M enterprise software company, which provides the Global 2,000 with data integration products and services. While at Informatica, he managed the global practices of Professional Services, Education Services, Customer Support and Maintenance Renewal Sales. Before that, Dilley had 18 years of experience in the consulting services. He was an associate partner for Worldwide Utilities Consumer Services at Andersen Consulting (Accenture), and a co-founder of Axiom Management Consulting, a management and information technology consulting firm. Earlier in his consulting career, he was with Myers-Holum, where he spent five years implementing financial applications.
Dilley began his career as a systems analyst at Price Waterhouse and holds a B.S. in business administration from California State University at Fresno.
David Downing, Chief Marketing Officer
David Downing has more than 25 years experience in technology
marketing, specializing in brand building, sales force readiness
and market development for enterprise software companies. Downing’s
leadership skills and innovative marketing strategies have been
employed at some of the technology industry’s leading
organizations, including Adobe, Oracle, Informatica and SAP.
Before joining NetSuite, Downing was the vice president of marketing
at venture-backed MetaLINCS, a leading provider of electronic
discovery software to Fortune 500 corporations, which was acquired
by Seagate Technology, in December 2007. Previously, Downing
worked at SAP where he was an integral part of the team building
support for SAP NetWeaver among independent software vendors
(ISVs) and the venture capital community. As the vice president
of marketing at Informatica, Downing was a key member of the
management team that built the company into a worldwide leader
in data integration and business intelligence, which included
a highly successful IPO in 1999. Downing holds a BS degree from
Boston University.
