Leading Luxury Retailer Leverages NetSuite to Deliver a Seamless B2B and B2C Omnichannel Customer Experience Globally
NETSUITE SUITEWORLD 2014, SAN JOSE, Calif. and LONDON UK—May, 15, 2014—NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), the industry's leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP and omnichannel commerce software suites, today announced that Orlebar Brown, one of the UK's leading luxury multichannel retailers, has deployed NetSuite OneWorld to support its B2B and B2C business growth and continued global expansion. The company is leveraging NetSuite OneWorld's capabilities for financial consolidation, tax compliance support, multi-currency and multi-language support, point of sale (POS), for its Notting Hill store in London, inventory management, order management and warehouse management to run its core mission-critical business processes. With NetSuite OneWorld, Orlebar Brown has been able to streamline core business processes, improve operational efficiency and gain the agility and speed it needed to expand its business globally, growing revenue by more than 350%.
Founded in 2007 by photographer Adam Brown, Orlebar Brown's classic luxury designs are sold through multiple channels—online at www.orlebarbrown.com, within its own brick-and-mortar stores, and distributed through high-end retailers around the world including Harvey Nichols, Harrods, Selfridges, Barneys New York and Nordstrom.
Prior to implementing NetSuite OneWorld, Orlebar Brown's growth had been limited by the lack of integration and scalability of its existing systems, which included SagePay, Zedonk and numerous disparate spreadsheets. The lack of centralised information management between these systems also led to data inconsistencies and inaccuracies. This was a considerable problem for Orlebar Brown, which is heavily dependent on accurate data to ensure the on time delivery of its premium products, to both consumers and global retail partners.
Implementing NetSuite OneWorld enables Orlebar Brown to manage the complex multinational and multichannel needs of the organisation, supporting two languages, and three currencies—Pound Sterling, US Dollars and Euro—as it dynamically adjusts for currency, taxation and legal compliance differences at the local level. Because it is run entirely in the cloud, NetSuite OneWorld makes it easy for Orlebar Brown to quickly add extra currencies and country support, allowing the company to scale easily and continue its global expansion.
As part of plans to further improve the customer experience, Orlebar Brown has also invested in NetSuite's Point of Sale (POS) system. The company's Notting Hill store is successfully running NetSuite POS and plans to roll it out to all other physical stores in the UK by the end of May and to new store locations set to open in the US later this year. Integrating NetSuite's POS system with NetSuite OneWorld gives staff and merchandisers a complete and seamless 360-degree view of the customer across all channels. In addition, NetSuite POS's flexibility allows the system to be integrated with a third party iPad merchandising application that is already in use at retail stores to deliver a more personalised and engaging customer experience.
Orlebar Brown is also able to leverage the following NetSuite OneWorld features to drive business growth:
"NetSuite has enabled us to quickly expand and grow our business. Consolidating all systems within one, centralised platform has freed up our retail managers and the financial department from having to devote significant time to running reports and data analysis. And because NetSuite is based in the cloud, our entire team can access and analyse data quickly and on the move," said Irfan Harris, Finance Director for Orlebar Brown. "NetSuite OneWorld is a robust, responsive and scalable solution that has enabled us to grow internationally without worrying about whether our infrastructure can support it or that our business critical back office processes are not being adhered to. We expect that the addition of NetSuite's POS system can further enable us to deliver the world class ‘Orlebar Brown' experience to both our consumers and luxury retail distribution partners across all of our channels."
Branden Jenkins, GM of Global Retail at NetSuite adds: "Orlebar Brown is one of a number of dynamic and fast growing UK retailers that has harnessed the power of NetSuite OneWorld to help increase business efficiencies and performance, while also enabling seamless international growth across channels. NetSuite is focused on helping Orlebar Brown, and other similar organisations take their business to new heights."
