From crowdfunding to international subsidiaries
A pre-launch crowdfunding campaign proved to The Cheeky Panda’s founders that customers wanted their products. The brand started selling on Amazon, then expanded to sell on a branded ecommerce site and at specialty retailers internationally. It added subsidiaries throughout Europe, as well as in the United States and China.
Pandemic toilet-paper craze sparks growth
The pandemic drove strong demand from major supermarkets, boosting both brand awareness and sales of The Cheeky Panda’s toilet paper. As the company grew, teams found it detrimentally time-consuming to manually manage inventory, consolidate financials across subsidiaries, and analyse performance across sales channels.
A better business system
The Cheeky Panda’s journey to NetSuite started with a simple web search, followed by a demonstration of NetSuite OneWorld and smooth evaluation and implementation processes. Instead of running its subsidiaries in separate business systems, The Cheeky Panda now centralises all operations and data in NetSuite. The system automatically consolidates financials and offers analysis at the local, regional, and headquarters levels.
Reporting supports the rainforest
As a certified B Corp, The Cheeky Panda offsets any carbon emitted in its production and shipping process by donating to rainforest conservation. This effort is made easy with NetSuite: The team simply pulls product reports from the system, then feeds them into a carbon calculator to determine output. As a result, The Cheeky Panda has effectively “balanced”over 33,000 tonnes of carbon and counting.
