Founded in Barcelona in 2015, TravelPerk helps organisations and their employees get the most out of travel. It does this by combining exceptional customer support with the world’s largest inventory of transport and accommodation options. To meet growing demand for travel, which has now surpassed pre-pandemic levels, and expand its operations internationally, TravelPerk secured a further $115 million in VC funding in early 2022. But as transaction volumes increased, they put a strain on TravelPerk’s existing custom-built accounting system and created inefficiencies and data management issues. TravelPerk selected NetSuite to help its finance team address these issues, establish a platform for further global expansion, and benefit from more rigorous and automated financial processes.
“TravelPerk’s rapid growth comes down to investing in our own internal systems and procedures, just as much as we focus on making a fantastic platform for our customers,” said Asif Livesey, financial controller, TravelPerk. “As a platform business, the systems that support us are critical and that’s why we selected NetSuite. With NetSuite, we have a system that can help us solve our finance challenges now, while also matching our future business aspirations. NetSuite will help us drive efficiencies across our organisation and be our one source of truth as we grow.”
With NetSuite, TravelPerk will be able to streamline, consolidate and enhance its financial operations. For example, NetSuite will enable TravelPerk’s finance team to automate processes, improve financial reporting and analysis for stakeholder groups, and save crucial time and resources. To drive further efficiencies across its business, TravelPerk plans to deploy NetSuite as its financial command centre to process thousands of transactions daily, create more in-depth subsidiary reports, manage customer and supplier payments, streamline bookkeeping activities, and automate bank feeds. TravelPerk will also use NetSuite to comply with regulations around currency, tax, and reporting in the countries it operates in.
“As travel rapidly returns, TravelPerk is in prime position to be the provider of choice to organisations around the world,” said Nicky Tozer, SVP, EMEA, Oracle NetSuite. “With huge opportunity comes the need for scale and process and as its financial source of truth, NetSuite will give TravelPerk the data, insights, and efficiencies it needs to pursue its mission.”
